Coco Cochran
Coco Cochran is the principal of Coco and Co Design, a design consultancy specializing in all aspects of furniture, lighting and upholstery design and development.
Coco has designed and developed home products for the high-end and luxury market for 20 years. She holds degrees in Art History and French from Vanderbilt University and a degree in Environmental Product Design from the Art Center College of Design.
Coco spent 5 years designing bedroom furniture, upholstery and lighting for Pottery Barn, a division of Williams-Sonoma. It was there that she honed the craft of designing for a brand while keeping price point and quality top of mind.
Coco joined McGuire Furniture Company, then a division of the Kohler Company, where she immediately revamped the product development process and succeeded in building and mentoring a design and product development team. She earned a reputation as a talented, hands-on leader who delivered results and thus was asked to help McGuire's sister company Baker execute their product development and design process. During her ten years at the company she worked to evolve McGuire from a “high-end” rattan company to a casual luxury lifestyle brand promoting McGuire’s California roots and its loyalty to natural materials, hand craftsmanship and unique design.
In 2015 Coco moved to Austin, TX and formed Coco and Co Design. Her clients include Arteriors Home, Curate Home Collection for Century, Kate Verner & Associates, Theodore Alexander, Freestyle Outdoor, Bernhardt and the Winterthur Museum with projects at Lane Venture and Hickory Chair.
Coco’s work was published in several shelter magazines including Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, Dwell, Western Interiors, Modern Luxury, NY Magazine.
